Wood is stored solar energy, it’s a sustainable fuel source right on our doorstep that can be collected from where it falls or managed and grown sustainably.

In contrast to fossil fuels, when wood fuel burns it produces virtually no sulphur emissions and is CO2 neutral. The CO2 released into the atmosphere when the wood is combusted is only the CO2 that would have returned to the atmosphere when the tree died and decomposed. By burning the wood we are only releasing the carbon that's already in the wood, the natural carbon cycle.

Burning logs, wood pellets and wood chips makes a positive contribution towards combating the greenhouse effect and the installation of wood burning technology is supported by generous government grants that will pay for the cost of the boiler and installation. In addition, homeowners will reap the benefits on CO2 neutral technology if the government implements a Carbon Tax.

Today’s wood burning boilers and stoves can no longer be compared to traditional solid fuel or wood fuelled appliances of the past. The biomass heating systems are super efficient and can be compared to high efficiency oil condensing boilers, the appliances are also very stylish and would complement any minimalist home or traditional English cottage.

Once the biomass heating system is switched on everything runs automatically so no user intervention is needed, even cleaning of the heat exchanger and ash removal on some models is fully automated.
